  Playing games – understanding games
  Location: ICT&S Center, big college
Time: Wednesday, 13th of June, 2007,  21:00 – 22:30

Visitors of the ICT&S center will have the opportunity to show their gaming skills during our evening event. To understand the meaning of play it is necessary to know about the experience of play. What would be better than playing games? Take a look at our equipment and enjoy an evening of fun and play. We offer a bar service.

We will introduce the ARS-Box, a system which supports stereoscopic generated 3D images on large screen. We present a very special gaming experience in 3D. For demonstration purposes we use some modifications of the game Unreal Tournament 2004 from Epic Games.
The ARS-Box will give our guests the opportunity to play racing games with this impressive stereoscopic 3D projection on a large screen. Compete with other players, play for fun or just watch!

Our second challange is GL-Tron, an OpenGL 3D remake of the well-known game Tron, made in Austria. Four motorcycles drive along a special area built of walls. This challenge will give our guests the chance to compete with other visitors directly in a four player multiplayer game.

See you at the ICT&S Center.
