Industrial case study submission

New for Advances in Computer Entertainment (ACE) 2007 , industrial case studies should show the application, integration and challenges towards the development of innovative and inspiring games.

Depending on the type of case study various types of presentation formats are possible: as poster in the poster area, as live demonstration in some of the breaks involving the participants, as small demonstration in the demonstration slot or as type of booth throughout the conference.

Please send us your ideas to discuss the appropriate format. Case study submissions should be a maximum of 4 pages (including figures and references). Submissions must be submitted in PDF format.

Full paper submission

Paper submissions should be a maximum of 8 pages (including figures and references). Full papers must be submitted in PDF format and anonymised - please remove names and affiliations from the first page and any other material that would allow authorship to be easily identified by the reviewers.

Please refer to submission details including submission format and submission process.

The deadline for submission of full papers is 5:00 PM GMT January 15th, 2007. After acceptance, a final, revised camera ready version of the paper will be required in electronic form to go in the proceedings.

Conference Submission System

At the conference you will have a full talk slot of 20 minutes including questions.

Short paper submission

Short papers submissions should be a maximum of 4 pages (including figures and references). Short papers must be submitted in PDF format and anonymised - please remove names and affiliations from the first page and any other material that would allow authorship to be easily identified by the reviewers.

Please refer to submission details including submission format and submission process.

The deadline for submission of short papers is 5:00 PM GMT February 16th, 2007. After acceptance, a final, revised camera ready version of the paper will be required in electronic form to go in the proceedings.

At the conference you will have a talk slot of 15 minutes including questions.

Interactive User Experience – Show Cases

If you want to have real users testing out your (maybe already commercially avaiable) products, you can submit an Interactive user experience show case. Similar to demonstrations you can show the working prototypes, but also already more established products. Main focus is that participants of the conference can actually try out the product or prototype on their own.

Workshop submission

Workshop proposals should be a maximum of 4 pages and should contain the following information:

* A brief technical description of the workshop, specifying the workshop goals and the technical issues that will be its focus.
* A discussion of why and to whom the workshop is of interest.
* A preliminary workshop agenda and a proposed schedule for organizing the workshop. This should include a brief description of how the organizers intend to encourage an atmosphere appropriate for a workshop.
* (If available) a list of tentatively confirmed attendees.
* (If available) a list of related workshops held within the last three years and their relation to the proposed workshop.
* The names and email addresses of the proposed workshop organizing committee. These people must be knowledgeable about the technical issues to be addressed and cannot all work at the same institution.
* The name of the primary contact for the organizing committee.
* A description of the qualifications of the individual committee members with respect to the ACE field.
* (If available) a list of workshops previously arranged by members of the proposed committee.

Please email a PDF version of your proposal to ace2007@icts.sbg.ac.at with full contact details in the email.

The deadline for workshop proposals is 5:00 PM GMT January 15th, 2007.

The purpose of workshops is to provide an informal setting where participants have the opportunity to discuss specific Advances in Computer Entertainment topics in an atmosphere that fosters the active exchange of ideas. To encourage interaction, each workshop will be limited to 30 participants and ample time must be allotted for general discussion. If your workshop is accepted you will be asked to submit a 2-page description of the workshop for inclusion in the proceedings.

Accepted workshops might be canceled if too few attendees register for the workshop to support the costs of running it.

Poster submission

Poster submissions should be a maximum of 4 pages (including figures and references). Poster papers must be submitted in PDF format and anonymised - please remove names and affiliations from the first page and any other material that would allow authorship to be easily identified by the reviewers.

Please refer to submission details including submission format and submission process.

The deadline for submission of posters is 5:00 PM GMT February 16th, 2007. If your poster is accepted you will be asked to submit a 2-page description of the poster for inclusion in the proceedings.

At the conference you will have a 97cm x 147cm poster board to display your work in a Poster Session.

Demo submission

We are interested in demonstrations of all approaches on the full range of ACE related topics. We encourage everyone to do a demonstration of their work, if possible, because we want to make the conference as interactive as we can. At the minimum we will provide power and we will investigate other infrastructure and equipment possibilities for the selected demonstrations.

Demo submissions should be a maximum of 4 pages (including figures and references) and the potential of a live demonstration should be made clear.

The deadline for submission of demos is 5:00 PM GMT February 16th, 2007. If your poster is accepted you will be asked to submit a 2-page description of the poster for inclusion in the proceedings.
